Dim screen brightness

The dim screen can also protect your eyes from the harmful blue light.

Remove unnecessary home screen widgets and live wallpaper.
Open the Settings app and scroll down to Application Manager. There are three tabs -- Downloaded, Running, and All. Look for Live Wallpaper under All. Tap it and then choose Uninstall.

To clear out some of the home screen widgets, hold down a finger on an empty space on the home screen. A window will pop open. Look for Widgets – it might list this as Apps and Widgets.
